NTT DATA Brings Expanded Innovation Program to Clients

North American Innovation Center will focus on developing advanced technologies including 5G, city planning and digital humans

PLANO, Texas – August 23, 2022 – NTT DATA, a global digital business and IT services leader, today announced plans for the North American Innovation Center (IC). The IC will conduct joint research and development (R&D) and create use cases with innovative clients who desire to actively utilize advanced technologies. The North American IC will be co-located with the Innovation Studio in Plano, TX.

“Our goal is to bring proactive innovation to our clients,” said Eric Clark, Chief Digital and Strategy Officer, NTT DATA Services. “To do this we must expand our current innovation efforts in North America, by adding research, development and experimentation of advanced technologies into our program to drive rapid evolution and effective digital transformation strategies for our clients.”

With the addition of the North American IC, NTT DATA's Innovation Program includes the full continuum of touch points for a world class client experience from ideation and discovery in the Innovation Studio to incubation and proof of concept efforts for clients.

NTT DATA’s ICs are housed in six locations across the globe and will collaborate to foster co-creation and R&D for emerging technologies and are designed to:

• Scout, incubate and scale innovative technologies and their application to business challenges and bring applications to clients
• Help clients evolve faster, digitally transform better and remove obstacles to innovation

NTT DATA will also collaborate with and strengthen relationships with universities and startups. One such academic relationship is with the MIT Media Lab, one of the world’s leading academic and research institutions. The Innovation Center’s Boston team is in-residence at the MIT Media Lab and engages in a range of research collaborations.
